In keeping with the mission to serve its artists, Opera Theatre of Montclair is so pleased to present international bass-baritone Mark Watson in a FREE monthly master class series. The pianist this month will be Giovanni Longo.

The next class will meet in the Assembly Room of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 73 South Fullerton Avenue, Montclair, on Monday, April 17, 7:30-10 PM. (The Assembly Room is located in the building attached to the church proper on South Fullerton Avenue next to a driveway. Go up the exterior flight of stairs to enter. Parking and easy public transportation from NYC available. From Port Authority Bus Terminal, take the #33 Decamp Bus to North Fullerton Ave or #66 to Montclair YMCA. Both are a short walk to the church.)

This class represents a SAFE space for artists to work through a piece with a caring, highly-experienced teacher/coach. Singers will benefit through performance and observation. The public is invited to observe.

Mark's class is fun, and you will be introduced to ideas that are useful in auditions and performance. Please bring a short, memorized operatic aria or a song from musical theatre, and bring an extra copy of the sheet music. Wear comfortable clothing.

If you would like to sing, please send your materials to [email protected] and put PERFORMANCE CLASS in the subject line. The class is open to all levels, from young students (minimum age 13 please) through established professionals. We all have something to learn and share with other artists. If professional, please send resume/photo. If college or high school student, please send resume/photo (if available), name of teacher, how many years studied and age.
